Godrevy Light by Charles Thomas and Jessica Mann

My latest book is the story of Godrevy Lighthouse, in St.Ives Bay, Cornwall. This beautiful and iconic structure  first shone out in 1859 so for 150 years it has been a protection to mariners and an inspiration to artists, photographers, poets and writers  -   including Virginia Woolf (and me!). Charles Thomas and I first met  at an excavation at Godrevy  and were married in the year of the lighthouse's centenary. Ever since then we have collected works of art and craft  that show this lighthouse, and many of those pictures now illustrate our new book about its history and place in literature and art.
